Annual and General Wellness Exams

All pets should be seen once a year for an annual exam, even if they appear to be in perfect health. Annual exams are also legally required in order for our hospital to write your pet prescriptions, fill medications, give vaccinations, and dispense flea and heart worm prevention. The price of an annual exam varies depending on what type of animal you have. For more information on pricing, give us a call at 904-388-3494. During an annual exam, Dr. Rossi will check the health of your pet from head to tail (i.e. listening to your pet’s heart and lungs, inspecting their skin and coat, and examining their ears, mouths, eyes and paws). During your pet’s annual exam Dr. Rossi will also discuss any questions you may have about your pet’s health and wellness.

Wellness Exams for Specific Health Concerns and Diagnostic Testing

If you have a specific concern regarding your pet (persistent allergies, urinary problems, etc), we also book wellness exams. The price of a wellness exam varies depending on what type of animal you have. During a wellness exam Dr. Rossi will discuss your concerns, examine your pet thoroughly, and then develop a treatment strategy. Dr. Rossi may suggest blood work, x-rays, allergy panels, ultrasounds or a variety of other diagnostic techniques to get to the root of your pet’s problem. These diagnostic tests will increase your overall charges, and you are free to decline them. However, it is important to keep in mind that these tests are often vital to diagnoses and treatment. For more information on pricing, give us a call at 904-388-3494. Whatever your pet’s troubles may be, we have the technology and know-how to solve them!
